CRB-Anim will register to the european network ‘Advances in farm animal genomic resources’ coordinated by S. Joost (Lausanne, CH) from 2010 to 2014 (http://genomic-resources.epfl.ch). This network of eight countries support exchanges of visiting scientists to work on novel tools and methods offered by genomics, statistical and econometric approaches, GIScience and integrated data analysis. Members of CRB-Anim will contribute to exchanges of scientists and organisation of European summer schools.
CRB-Anim will propose an introductory course on cryobanking and stored genetic resources to European projects that will be funded in relationship with livestock and companion animals. For instance, the project AquaExcel (7th framework programme, I3 project, coordinator M. Vandeputte, INRA) includes a work package “Training, knowledge and technology transfer and communication” realised in collaboration with partner 3 (SCRIBE) of CRB-Anim.
